American Pop-Rock duo, RAGS AND RICHES, are back with a brand new single and video "Edge of Time." This track is all about living your life to the fullest as we really don't know how close we are to the end of it all. I love the message of this track! It's easy to let the idea of wondering endlessly get to our heads, but nobody really does know the answer to this question- so you might as well live your life to the fullest!
The track starts off on a quieter note with some soft vocals layering over synths, then quickly moves into some hard-hitting instrumentals. The track is upbeat and fluctuates between a minimalistic and spacey approach, to a denser rock-inspired vibe. Vocal tracks come off clear and articulate, adding a pristine and crisp finish.
The video takes place in a warehouse, with the duo, and two dancers who express the story. They take on a lyrical style and tell the story through their choreographed movement. I like that they incorporated this into the video as it adds another element of artistic expression, and also stresses the urgency of the lyricism.
This song was a step outside of their comfort zone, and they tried something they have never done before. If you're a pop fan who had a little pop-rock emo phase, this track will definitely resonate with you!
